Journal Writing Prompts for February

Happy February! Are you writing in your journal daily? If you are looking for inspiration, check out the following journal writing prompts for February.

  1. How did January go for you, your family, friends, work, and community?
  2. What do you hope to accomplish in February? List 5 goals.
  3. What do you like most about your life right now? Why?
  4. Write about your favorite place.
  5. Write about your favorite person.
  6. Describe a time in your life that will never forget. Why does this moment stick out the most?
  7. What do you like to do in your free time? Why is this your favorite?
  8. Write about a road trip. Either one you are planning or a favorite from your past.
  9. Are you still sticking to your New Year’s Eve resolutions? Why or why not?
  10. Write a letter to a loved one who is no longer with you.
  11. Write about your friends from grade school. Do you still talk to any of them?
  12. What are your current hobbies? What would you like to try?
  13. If you could open a business, what would you do?
  14. Happy Valentine’s Day! How did you spend your day? Any surprises?
  15. What would you buy for yourself if money was not an issue? For your family? For your friends?
  16. Make a list of the top ten people who have impacted your life this far. Go into details.
  17. When was the last time, you practiced self-care?
  18. Make a list of activities or people who bring you happiness.
  19. What is your biggest worry right now?
  20. Describe your entire day from an outsider’s point of view.
  21. What made you smile today? Why?
  22. Free write for 15 minutes
  23. What is the kindest gesture someone has done for you? Why does this incident stick out the most?
  24. If your life was a movie or book, what would be the title? Why?
  25. What music makes you feel happy? Adventurous? Sad? And what music gives you a sense of being recharged or uplifted?
  26. Describe the view from outside your window right now.
  27. Where is the one place you want to travel this summer? Write in detail or plan your trip.
  28. Whoo-hoo! You made it to the end of the month! Write about the highs and lows of the month.
