Are you ready for March? The new month is almost here! Are you keeping a journal? Or do you want to start but don’t know what to write? If you are searching for inspiration, consider the following journal writing prompts for March.

  1. How did February go for you, your family, friends, work, or community? List the highs and lows for the month.
  2. What are your goals for March? List 5.
  3. What do you do for self-care? Do you need to do more to take care of yourself?
  4. Write a list of ways to get you and your family outdoors more and away from computer screens.
  5. Today is Ash Wednesday. Do you celebrate and honor the holiday? What is your religious view?
  6. What brought you joy today?
  7. Who is your inspiration right now? Why is this person so important in your life?
  8. Free write for 15 minutes.
  9. Daylight Saving Time! Spring forward! How does the time change affect you?
  10. Describe yourself in 500 words.
  11. What were you doing at 2 pm today? Write in detail.
  12. How are you feeling today? Consider your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

  14. Write about a childhood memory.
  15. Write about your pet peeves. Why do these bother you?
  16. Write one quality about yourself that you want to improve. Why is this important to you?
  17. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Are you celebrating? Write about your day.

  20. First Day of Spring! What are you looking forward to this season? Why?
  21. Describe your pet or one from your childhood.
