Journal Writing Prompts for November

Are you ready for a new list of journal writing prompts for November? Whether you have been keeping a journal for years or just starting, writing is a wonderful creative outlet.

  1. How did October go for you, your family, work, school, etc.?
  2. What area of your life would you like to concentrate on the most in November? Why?
  3. What do you hope to accomplish in the last two months of 2021? List 5 reasonable goals.
  4. What does your dream life look like? Go into elaborate details.
  5. What activity gives you peace? Why?
  6. What challenge or obstacle are you currently facing? What are you doing to overcome it?
  7. How does daylight savings time effect you?
  8. What is one thing you need to do now that your future self will appreciate?
  9. Make a list of 5 things that are keeping you from being completely happy. Next write how you remove these obstacles to achieve your happiness.
  10. Free write for at least 20 minutes.
  11. If you could relive any moment from your life, what one would you pick? Why?
  12. What was your favorite meal as a child? Do you still like that food? Why?
  13. What would you do if time and money were not an obstacle? Go into details.
  14. What is your biggest insecurity? Why?
  15. Describe your idea of a perfect day. Go into details.
  16. Write about a dream that you can remember in vivid detail. What do you think the dream means?
  17. Describe your day from the time you wake up until you began to write in your journal.
  18. What was your favorite book from your childhood? Why?
  19. How do you like to spend a cold, rainy day? Why?
  20. What is your guilty pleasure? A food? A television program? A book series? Why do you like this activity?
  21. Make a list of the people who make your daily life better.
  22. If someone is researching your family tree 100 hundred years from now, how do you hope to be remembered?
  23. Write 5 things that you are good at doing.
  24. Is there a person in your life present or past that you need to forgive for your own well-being? Write about the situation.

  27. What steps do you need to take for better self-care?
