February Journal Writing Prompts

February is almost here! Are you ready for a new month of writing? Keeping a journal is an excellent way to improve mental health, record events, and let creativity flow. Do you need inspiration for February? Check out the following journal writing prompts.

  1. How did January go for you, your family, friends, coworkers, and community? List the highs and lows for the month.
  2. Groundhog Day! Did he see his shadow? Write about this holiday.
  3. Write goals for February.
  4. Check your goals for 2025. Are you achieving any of them? Do you need to add to your list?
  5. Free write for 15 minutes.
  6. What is your biggest cause of stress and anxiety right now? What steps can you take to alleviate your worries?
  7. Write a letter to your future self.
  8. What do you do for self-care? Do you need to do more to take care of yourself? Write down 5 ways to a better self-care routine.
  9. Superbowl Sunday! Do you watch football? Are you going to watch the game? Write about your experience.
  10. What made you laugh today? Why?
  11. If you could be a fictional character, who would you pick? Why?
  12. What is your idea of a perfect date?
  13. What was the last item you bought for yourself? How long ago was this?
  14. Happy Valentine’s Day! How did you spend your day?
  15. Did you get a special gift for Valentine’s Day? If not buy yourself some flowers or candy, the items will be reduced today.
  16. What would you do if you didn’t have to worry about money? Why?
  17. Happy Presidents’ Day! Write about your political views. Write about the current and past presidents.
  18. What is the weather like right now? Are you happy with it?
  19. If you could invite 5 people to lunch, who would you invite? Why?
  20. Where is your favorite place? Why does this place bring you comfort?
  21. How do you feel right at this moment? Write about your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. What areas need improvement?
  22. Write about your core values and beliefs.
  23. How can you get more organized in your daily routine?
  24. If you won the lotto, what is the first thing you would do? Why?
  25. Who is your inspiration? Why does this person matter?
  26. Write about a skill you want to learn. What steps do you need to take to achieve this goal?
  27. Write about the view out the window right now.
  28. You made it to the end of the month! Celebrate! Write about your day!
