Self-Care Ideas for April

Happy April! The month brings warmer weather, Easter, and rain showers for those upcoming May flowers. Are you taking care of yourself? If you are looking for self-care ideas for April, check out the following.

  1. Commit to better health choices. Write out a list of areas you want to improve for your personal health.
  2. Take a nature walk on a local trail.
  3. Try yoga or other stretching exercises.
  4. Go hiking.
  5. Create a Spring bucket list.
  6. Photograph new spring flowers.
  7. Diffuse essential oils or burn scented candles.
  8. Take a “quiet” break. Retreat to a quiet space. 15 minutes of quiet time is a great way to recharge.
  9. Create a new spring playlist.
  10. Get a massage or do an in-home spa day.
  11. Volunteer at a local pet rescue or animal shelter as a dog walker.
  12. Write in your journal.
  13. Watch TED Talks or other motivational videos.
  14. Go on a digital detox.
  15. Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water.
  16. Slowly sip a warm beverage and watch the sunrise or set.
  17. Happy Easter! Attend church services. Or curl up with your favorite comfy blanket and watch Here Comes Peter Cottontail.
  18. Go to your local cafe, sip your favorite drink, and quietly observe the world around you.
  19. Go out to lunch with friends.
  20. Practice positivity.
  21. Try breathing exercises, meditation, or prayer.
  22. Earth Day! Do something for the environment. Recycle, plant flowers, or volunteer at a community cleanup.
  23. Go on a picnic.
  24. Listen to a podcast or audiobook.
  25. Got out to eat.
  26. Sleep
  27. Go for a long drive and loudly sing to your favorite tunes.
  28. Take a warm bubble bath.
  29. Bake your favorite dessert.
  30. Get lost as a local tourist.
